The New Orleans Art Association presents a workshop given by
Emre Karaoglu:
Power Up with Color— a Painting Workshop for All Levels

Friday, March 27th and Saturday, March 28th
10AM-3:30 PM (  one hour break for lunch )
Lakeview Presbyterian Church
5914 Canal Blvd. New Orleans, LA, 70124
Cost: $225 for members $250 non members
Please make checks or payments out to NOAA
Participants will explore portrait and/or landscape painting with a vibrant color palette. Emre will focus on developing your skills in relation to anatomy, color, tone, and developing emotion and expression in painting. You may use your own media, whether that is oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel or other. On the second day there will be a model for the second half of the workshop.

Emre Karaoglu’s resume is simply too impressive to list on a flyer, it will be provided on another document. One of his recent paintings was selected for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition 2024, and the painting sold at the opening ceremony at the Mall Galleries, London. He participated in the Refreshing America International Art show at the contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans, 2025. He teaches at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts, and has drawing seminars at the Second Story Gallery in the Healing Center and has provided figure workshops at PaintSpaceNOLA. He will have shows in London and Istanbul this summer. There is simply no other way to describe him other than to say he is “on fire,” and that to take a workshop with him may be our only opportunity to do so as he reaches, literally, international recognition and respect.

Please sign up to be on the interested list, participants will be limited to 16 people, and supply details and lunch details will be conveyed via email , giving all  enough time to prepare.
